I want to start off by saying writing 2 has been such a positive experience. I love this class it makes me want to keep writing. I have never had a class that made writing so interesting. From writing about music, to a blog, to a podcast, this class has made writing fun for me. Everything we did in class was very worth it. I feel it improved my writing skills while still being fun. Chris Dean is an amazing writing teacher. I was super lucky to get into his class. I feel that all the assignments we did in class and talking to him in office hours really helped me write great papers. MY favorite was the podcast. When we first discussed it I thought it was going to be very hard and boring. Plus I really hate hearing my own voice. But the podcast turned out to be very fun. I was able to write about anything wanted and since I chose the movie I had recently watched and loved, I was able to use the assignment as an excuse to have a movie night with my roomies. I interviewed each of them about the movie and finished my podcast soon after. This class has been a great experience, and jack really helped me on the days I was exhausted from school. I’m very glad Chris told us we can keep sending him our writing pieces to go over. It’s very helpful to have someone to rely on and I know I will be writing a great review for him on ratemyprofessor.com.
